The International Committee of the Red Cross is responsible UN humanitarian Valerie Amos and a convoy of Syrian Red Crescent on Wednesday they were allowed to enter the district of Baba Amr in Homs and found that the majority of civilians have fled.

Activists spoke about reprisals by the forces of President Hafez al-Assad in Baba Amr after the withdrawal of opposition fighters.

And found a team of aid workers of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, who entered the district of Baba Amro on Wednesday for the first time ten days ago that most of the population fled.

Said Hisham Hassan, spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross, told Reuters in Geneva, "he stayed Syrian Red Crescent inside Baba Amro for 45 minutes. He said the other areas in Homs and the nearby village met by the deployment of workers, Red Cross and Red Crescent aid on Wednesday for the second time since Sunday.

Hassan said the rescue teams provided assistance to about 450 families in on Wednesday and met with about 2700 people, mostly from the neighborhood of Baba Amr. This was in addition to about 2,100 people were assisted earlier in the week, which indicates that thousands of people fled to the Pope met with Amr.
